The City of Forrest City in Conjunction with the Arkansas Cancer Coalition and the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service will be hosting a workshop, Monday February 23, 2026, at 5:30pm on Growing a Garden, a raised garden or a tiny in ground garden in a space up to 3’x12’ feet. Mr. Van Banks, Marla Lane, and others will be presenting at the workshop.
The Workshop will include Building a Metal Raised Garden, filled with compost and other materials used to start a garden. Seeds, compost, fertilizer, and other items will be given away along with a chance to win 8- metal raised gardens.
We encourage everyone to come- We think, We know it will be a great experience growing your own food. Come and learn how to grow a garden on February 23 at 5:30p at the Larry S. Bryant Wellness Center located at 2510 South Washington.
