St. Francis County Judge Craig Jones announces that the bridge on SFC road 409 over Crow Creek (off Hwy 284) will be closing for the day starting this morning (Monday) at 9 o’clock.
Judge Jones said that the reason for the closure is to clear the massive amount of debris that accumulated around the bridge during last week’s flash flooding in the region.
Jones said the operation is essential to make sure the county is able to “keep the bridge” and not have to undergo the expense of replacing it.
He said that if all goes well, the bridge should be reopened today (Monday), no later than around 4 p.m.
