It’s fair time! The St. Francis County Fair will start Monday, October 14 and go through Saturday, October 19th. So many new as well as existing activities. Contact Maggie Hoskins @ 870-270-8653 for Exhibit Hall Booth rental and presale of armbands for the carnival are $20 and will be $30 at fair time. This does not include admission to the Fair and are good for one session. Armbands may be purchased @ St. Francis County Farm Bureau, Forrest City Area Chamber of Commerce, and Express Cleaners or any Fair Board Member. See you at the Fair!
The 3rd Annual Freedom Awards Celebration Gala will take place on Sunday, October 6th at the Forrest City Civic Center @ 5:00 p.m. This event will honor community and religious leaders for their contributions throughout the year in the Arkansas Delta. Starting Saturday, September 21, the city will be milling roads from Arkansas St down Division St to Buford St, stopping at the railroad track. The overlay will follow the next week.

The Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas will host a drive-thru mobile distribution in St. Francis County on Thursday, September 19th from 8 – 10AM or until food runs out at the following location: Larry S. Bryant Wellness Center & Sports Complex located at 2510 S. Washington St.
A representative from Legal Aid of Arkansas will be at the Forrest City Public Library on Tuesday, September 17th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Call the library at 870-633-5646 to make an appointment.

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) play a crucial role in the lives of individuals with intellectual, developmental, and other disabilities. Their dedication and compassion significantly enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of those they support, regardless of age.

Legal Aid of Arkansas will conduct a free Record Sealing Clinic, Saturday, September 14th, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at East Arkansas Community College in Forrest City. Record Sealing is the process of hiding your criminal record from public view. Once sealed, the conduct is deemed by law never to have occurred. To register for the clinic, call Legal Aid of Arkansas at 870-972-9224, ext. 4324. Early registration is encouraged.
A St. Francis County Veterans Legal Clinic will be held Thursday (9/19) from 12-2 p.m. at the St. Francis County Museum on Front Street in Forrest City.
The clinic will offer free consultation with legal counsel to provide assistance with expungements, estate planning, business law and landlord/tenant issues.
The clinic is a collaborative effort with Legal Aid of Arkansas and the St. Francis County Museum.
