We kindly ask everyone to please stop blowing or raking grass into the streets. When grass clippings are left in the roadway, they eventually wash into the storm drains — and this causes serious drainage problems for our entire community.
Clogged drains lead to flooding, street damage, and costly cleanups that affect all of us.
Let’s work together to keep Forrest City clean, safe, and flood-free. Dispose of grass properly and help us protect our city’s drainage system.
Thank you for your cooperation!

Medical experts say that “kids, specifically infants, the elderly and individuals who spend the majority of their time inside, are most at risk.
One physician commented that he spends a lot of time in an air-conditioned office, and that if he goes to work in the yard on a hot day, because he’s not acclimated to the heat, he’s more susceptible to heat-related illness.”
Doctors say that those who are on medication that causes sweating, along with those who have cognitive disabilities, are also more likely to be at risk of a heat-related illness.
Be aware that symptoms like headache, nausea, and fatigue can be signs of heat-related illness.
Drinking lots of water, taking frequent breaks, and staying inside are great ways to avoid the worst effects of the heat.
