On Thursday morning, ground was officially broken for the new truck stop being constructed along the Hwy 1 bypass. Jay Sinojia, the general contractor for the travel center, announced plans for a facility that promises a well-lit parking lot and a range of amenities designed to enhance the travel experience for drivers. The project aims to provide a welcoming and safe environment for all who stop by. Stay tuned for updates as construction progresses!

The City of Forrest City is hard at work grinding and overlaying Buford Street to improve our roads. Weather permitting, we plan to begin grinding Division Street this Thursday.

It’s fair time! The St. Francis County Fair will start Monday, October 14 and go through Saturday, October 19th. So many new as well as existing activities. This does not include admission to the Fair and are good for one session. Road Work Alert
Starting Saturday, September 21, the city will be milling roads from Arkansas St down Division St to Buford St, stopping at the railroad track. The overlay will follow the next week.
