The Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas will host a drive-thru mobile distribution in St. Francis County on Thursday, September 19th from 8 – 10AM or until food runs out at the following location: Larry S. Bryant Wellness Center & Sports Complex located at 2510 S. Washington St.


A representative from Legal Aid of Arkansas will be at the Forrest City Public Library on Tuesday, September 17th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Call the library at 870-633-5646 to make an appointment.


Mayor Larry S. Bryant has declared September 8-14, 2024, as Direct Support Professionals' Week!
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) play a crucial role in the lives of individuals with intellectual, developmental, and other disabilities. Their dedication and compassion significantly enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of those they support, regardless of age.
We encourage all citizens to take this week to recognize and appreciate the incredible contributions and hard work of DSPs. Let’s show our gratitude for their commitment to improving the lives of their clients.

Citizens can come between the hours of 8 am - 4 pm, Monday- Friday at the Forrest City City Hall.

Legal Aid of Arkansas will conduct a free Record Sealing Clinic, Saturday, September 14th, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at East Arkansas Community College in Forrest City. Record Sealing is the process of hiding your criminal record from public view. Once sealed, the conduct is deemed by law never to have occurred. To register for the clinic, call Legal Aid of Arkansas at 870-972-9224, ext. 4324. Early registration is encouraged.


A St. Francis County Veterans Legal Clinic will be held Thursday (9/19) from 12-2 p.m. at the St. Francis County Museum on Front Street in Forrest City.
The clinic will offer free consultation with legal counsel to provide assistance with expungements, estate planning, business law and landlord/tenant issues.
The clinic is a collaborative effort with Legal Aid of Arkansas and the St. Francis County Museum.

The City of Forrest City would like to extend our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to our CID Officer Paul Arceneaux of the Forrest City Police Department. Officer Arceneaux experienced a medical emergency yesterday, and he could use all the support and prayers we can offer during this challenging time. Our community stands with him and his family, and we hope for his swift and full recovery.


Remembering 9/11


Forrest City High School will hold its annual College Night event on Tuesday, Sept. 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.
Representatives from more than 20 colleges and universities in Arkansas and surrounding states along with representatives from the military branches are expected to be on hand for the event.
Students will be able to apply to college and receive important scholarship information. The event is open to all Forrest City High School students and parents. Seniors and juniors are encouraged to attend.


On Friday, September 6, Mayor Larry S. Bryant, alongside the Delta Pink Rubies, hosted a vital Prostate and Breast Cancer Screening event at the Forrest City Civic Center. We’re thrilled to share that the event was a resounding success!
Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to making this event impactful.
Regular screenings are crucial for early detection and prevention. We appreciate your commitment to health and look forward to future events that promote wellness in our community.







This past Saturday, September 7, the Forrest City Recreational Department hosted an amazing Kids Fishing Derby! The event was a big hit, with lots of smiling faces and enthusiastic little anglers.
The kids had a blast casting their lines and catching fish, and everyone enjoyed a day filled with laughter. A huge thank you to everyone who came out and made the day special. We’re already looking forward to next year’s derby!

Forrest City Health Department Flu Shot


The Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas will host a drive-thru mobile food distribution in St. Francis County on Thursday, September 19 from 8-10 a.m. at the Larry S. Bryant Multipurpose Center in Forrest City.
Persons receiving USDA foods must reside in St. Francis County and must also meet the income guidelines that have been set for the Emergency Food Assistance Program.
USDA foods are distributed on a first come, first served basis.
