Thanks to the Advertising and Promotional Committee and LaSandra Ward for hosting the incredible "Taste of the Delta" Food Truck and Music Fest this past Saturday! The "Cowboy Boogie" theme truly came to life thanks to the fantastic lineup of artists: PC Band, Meechie, Terry Rogers, Iyuana Patrice, DeeDee Jones, and Kiya B. Your performances made the event unforgettable!
A big shoutout to all the vendors who brought their delicious food and unique offerings, as well as to everyone who attended and contributed to the success of the festival. Your enthusiasm and support were what made this event so special.

Forrest City Fire Department Captain Carlton Pettus and Code Enforcement Officer Kendall Pettus have successfully completed a thorough inspection of the fire suppression system at the new Home 2 hotel. Their expertise ensures that the system is fully operational and up to code, making the hotel a safe and secure environment for all future guests.
The Home 2 hotel is one step closer to opening, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone!


Let’s work together to keep our community beautiful! Please avoid throwing trash in ditches or anywhere outside of designated disposal areas. When we all do our part, we make Forrest City a cleaner, more welcoming place for everyone.

Beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday August 3, 2024, and ending at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday August 4, 2024, the State of Arkansas will hold its sales tax holiday allowing shoppers the opportunity to purchase certain Electronic Devices, School Supplies, School Art Supplies, School Instructional Materials, and Clothing free of state and local sales or use tax.


It’s called “I See Me”, an Empowerment through Affirmation seminar, coming up July 31st from 5-7 p.m. at the Forrest City Civic Center.
Topics will include Self-Affirmation, Self-Validation, Self-Image and Positive Body Image.
The goal of the seminar is to help attendees become more spiritual, emotionally equipped and mentally empowered.

The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for the mid-south region for today (Wednesday) and Thursday, each day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Weather experts advise that dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 112 degrees are expected.


Mayor Bryant and Keith Britton took a significant step towards addressing the flooding challenges in our community by reviewing detailed maps of the watershed project. This critical initiative aims to improve flood management and enhance water flow systems throughout the Forrest City area.
The watershed project is designed to mitigate flooding risks, protect property, and ensure the safety of our residents. By closely examining these maps, Mayor Bryant and Keith Britton are working diligently to identify key areas for intervention and to develop effective solutions tailored to our community’s needs.
